Anna Maria College

School of Fire and Health Sciences

A private school located in Paxton, Anna Maria College has around 1,500 students attending classes on its 190 acre campus. The school was founded in 1946 by the Sisters of Saint Anne, and was originally located in Marlborough before being moved to Paxton. The school offers 35 undergraduate degrees, 21 graduate degrees, and also offers the opportunity for students to study online or in continuing education programs. The programs at Anna Maria feature a combination of science and liberal arts education, as is the tradition in Catholic higher education. The college recently opened a School of Business in 2011 with the first students attending classes in 2012.
