Tactical Communications Intern
The Tactical Communications Intern works within the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness in Salt Lake City, Utah. The person who holds this position will assist in the creation of a tactical communications plan for the bureau. You will be required to use cell phones, land line phones, HAM radios, MHz radios, WebEOC, Government Emergency Telecommunication Equipment and satellite phones. The job of the intern is to help create an inventory of the department’s equipment. You may also be needed for support in the communications sector. Your position also gives you the opportunity to communicate with emergency response team members.
Emergency Management Social Media Intern
The Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Preparedness just purchased software that will help them create a social engagement plan. This department contains two different social media stations where you will perform your duties. Your job will be to use this equipment to take part in discussions with social media. The person most suited for this position is someone who has experience with social media as well as experience with emergency management. You will be required to communicate with the staff at the Department of Public Information as well as members of the emergency management team.
Emergency Management Information Entry Intern
The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management intern position requires that you take data that is related to incidents and disasters and enter it into the incident management system. You will also submit reports to your superiors about the information that you entered into those reports. You will obtain this information in a myriad of ways, including radio communication, face-to-face communications, telephone, email or fax. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for creating and passing out the emergency alert messages. You will be required to communicate with people in the private sector as well as with people in government and volunteers.
Emergency Management Intern
The Emergency Management Intern at the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department will require you to help with planning and emergency preparedness projects. Some of your duties will be within public outreach, public information, exercise design and development and technology management. The Emergency Division Office may occasionally need your services with daily operations, such as answering phones, communicating through writing, putting together reports and other documents, assisting with research and being present at events within the community and meetings. You will also have various other duties, including faxing, photocopying documents and filing.
Emergency Preparedness 2016 Summer Intern
The Savannah River Remediation’s Emergency Preparedness 2016 Summer Intern will provide support for this organization. The interns will have the duty of preparing a project that they will also present to the SRR management team. Interns will also help organize the systems within the Emergency Preparedness program. They will help develop drill controller training. They will also help the writers develop drill scenarios. They will have a role in developing Key Performance Indicators. In addition, interns will be Limited Service Employees and will work at the site in Aiken, SC.
